The area
Coral Gardens lies between Ironshore and Rose Hall, set back from the coast road. It is residential, quieter than the strip, and close enough to the resort corridor that people working in it live here.
The name also belongs to a serious piece of Jamaican history — the events of 1963 at Coral Gardens, for which the Jamaican government issued an apology in 2017. It is worth knowing the name carries that, and not only a postcode.
