The area
Reading is the last part of the city going west, where the main road splits — one way inland towards Anchovy and Montpelier, the other along the coast towards Hopewell, Round Hill and Negril.
West of here the coast turns into the villa stretch: individual houses on the hillside above the water, most of them looking north over the sea. It is the quietest coast within easy reach of Montego Bay.
