The area
Westgate Hills climbs the slope on the western side of Montego Bay, above the Westgate shopping area and the road out towards Reading.
It is a settled residential hillside — houses on terraced plots, narrow roads, and views down over the bay from most of it. Being above the city, it is noticeably cooler in the afternoon than downtown.
